Reviews and Ratings
Staying at this hotel was a delightful experience overall. The rooms, especially those in the cottage annexe, were nice and cozy, providing a peaceful retreat. However, the old wooden single glazed windows made traffic noise quite noticeable. The service, led by the extrovert musician son Josh, was exceptional, with friendly and engaging staff creating a warm atmosphere. The location, despite some shortcomings in terms of airflow, was perfect for various activities like walks, visits to the coast, and cultural events. The dining experience was excellent, featuring a diverse menu with locally sourced ingredients and efficient service. Despite some minor inconveniences, this hotel offers a lovely stay with great value for money.
The hotel offers comfortable rooms, friendly service, and a lovely dining experience. Despite some dated aspects and challenges with reception, the location is picturesque and convenient for exploring nearby towns.
The hotel offers comfortable rooms and good bathrooms, although I've stayed in nicer places in better locations for less during winter. The service, especially from their extrovert musician son Josh, goes above and beyond, deserving higher praise. The location is lovely for peaceful escapes and countryside walks, but the airless rooms were a downside. The dining experience, with a variety of choices including the best scrambled eggs ever, was a highlight of my stay.
